A huge model of the first audio CD was given by our CM to Jackie Chan who gleefully launched the audio of 'Dasavatharam' yesterday. The model was wrapped in plastic and when it was given to the Hollywood star the plastic was ripped off and carelessly tossed aside.

With the entire crowd witnessing, Jackie casually picked up the crumpled plastic waste that was tossed carelessly on the floor and promptly dumped it in a bin. Only then did a couple of security staff come forward to the aid of Mr. Chan. Though this act is not something life-saving, what Jackie Chan did without any pride before so many people has come as an eye opener to many who were present for the music launch function.

Nayan to Trisha

Close on the heels of Nayantara being removed as the star brand ambassador of the Chennai Super Kings IPL team, the latest buzz doing rounds is that Trisha has been roped in her place.

Trisha, a popular actress in Kollywood and Tollywood, is awaiting the release of ‘Kuruvi’ opposite Vijay. Though she could not be contacted, sources close to the actress confirmed that she would turn up for the cricket matches being played by the Chennai Super Kings.

Amir Khan Injured

We all know what a perfectionist Aamir Khan is and when he does anything he does it with style. This Bollywood icon has been shooting for the 'Ghajini' remake in Hindi for a long time now.
Aamir was wounded recently while performing a tough stunt scene and injured himself. The actor suffered an injury to his hamstring and was taken to the hospital immediately for first aid by the concerned crew.
The incident happened in the Sulthan Bazar Area in Hyderabad were a set was erected for shooting the stunt scene for the 'Ghajini' remake. The medicos have identified a ruptured hamstring and have sedated the star. Aamir is feeling much better now.
The shooting has momentarily come to a standstill and will resume after the hero of the film is good to go. The 'Ghajini' remake in Hindi has Aamir, Asin and Jiah Khan playing the lead roles.
There are reports also doing the rounds that Aamir will be flown back to Mumbai today.

Nayan Fainted On the Set.

Nayantara, who was supposed to be the star attraction at the IPL match yesterday, fainted while shooting in Hyderabad for Rajnikanth starrer ‘Kuselan’. She was hospitalized and was not able to perform at the event. She is one of the brand ambassadors of the Chennai team along with Vijay.
The actress who had a fever collapsed due to exhaustion and was taken to Kamineni hospital in Hyderabad. The doctors reported that the actress suffers from heat wave conditions that hit Andhra recently and has low Blood Pressure.
“A complete rest for two to three days is the best medicine for her problems now,” said the consultant.
Nayantara, who was shooting for ‘Kuselan’ at Ramoji Film city had to pack off early on Monday evening, as she was showing signs of a viral attack and feeling weak. But even after that, the thorough professional actress attended the Tuesday schedule with Rajini which went for round the clock and it is said that this added stress has resulted in the actress getting drained out.
At present Nayantara who is reigning in the numero uno position in the South, is doing three big films simultaneously, 'Kuselan' with Rajini, 'Aegan' with Ajith and 'Sathyam' opposite Vishal. And she has been signed for four more big films including 'Singam' with Vijay.

It was also disclosed that the date for submitting accreditation forms would be extended beyond the original April 8 deadline. "We have successfully concluded with them [media representatives] the way forward and there are no issues on the table," Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, said after the meeting in Mumbai. "New media guidelines are being issued this evening, and will be published [on the IPL website]." "It was two-way traffic at our discussions and it was a happy ending," Pradeep Vijayakar, vice-president of the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI), said. Barry Parker, South-East Asia bureau chief of Agence France Presse (AFP), told Cricinfo that he and the international media coalition that also includes AP and Getty Images are waiting for the written version of the new guidelines before they decide on their next step. Parker had earlier said the terms and conditions as existed "don't allow us to cover the event." The day's bad news was reserved for websites, whose representatives will be granted accreditation for the tournament but not match tickets, enabling them to report on pre- and post-match activity but barring them from the press box during play. This, IPL officials said, is because the league wishes to protect the portal rights it has sold to an American firm. The other contentious clause that remains is preventing news agencies from selling their pictures to websites, who will have to source images from the IPL database. Modi said the IPL's planned photo database would integrate resources that can take about 10,000 photographs on a single day at various venues.
"That makes things difficult," Parker commented. "There's more than one issue as far as the AFP is concerned." However, there was resolution on other major contentious issues, largely surrounding use of images. Contrary to the earlier guidelines, the IPL will not have the rights, free and without restrictions, to all photographs taken at the matches; and news organisations will not have to upload on the IPL site, within 24 hours, all images taken at the ground. The IPL has also allowed newspapers with their own web publication to upload six different pictures on their online photo galleries in addition to the pictures published in print.

After introducing biometric visas last December, Britain has decided to re-introduce long-term visas of up to 10 years for Indians intending to visit that country.''It is entirely in our interest to give you 10-year visas,'' the UK High Commissioner Charles Richard Vernon Stagg told industrialists at a luncheon meeting organised by the PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in Delhi on Thursday.The UK High Commission introduced bio-metric visas, which carry the information and photograph of the person in the digital form, in December last year in view of security concerns.''We are now re-introducing 5-10 years visa,'' Stagg said.The High Commission had stopped issuing long-term visas briefly in view of security concerns.The main problem at the moment, he said, is that the turnaround time has increased from 24 hours to four days, primarily because ''we cannot transmit data across the internet according to the Indian rules''.It takes four days to receive the data and get it processed from London, the High Commissioner said, adding that he had taken up the matter with Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon.''I speak about it to every government official that I meet,'' the High Commissioner added.
